QUESTION:
Consider the first 50 years of, and at least two nations affected by, the Protestant Reformation. (You may define the beginning of the PR as 1517.) Now, decide: Was this movement innovative? In other words, were its ideas largely new, or not? Explain.
Hint: A proper answer to this question will include a thesis statement at the end of your first paragraph. It must be an argument. It cannot be a list. A strong thesis statement will have a “because” clause in it.
Another hint: You don’t have to give me every single reason, or every piece of evidence, in order to answer a question effectively. A short essay requires a tightly focused argument.
