Instructions
Answer the four question below. Each answer to each of the questions must be between 1- 2 pages. So you must submit a final between 5-8 pages total and in a single word document. Your answers must be based on your reading of the book: Undocumented Politics: Place, Gender and the Pathways of Mexican Migrants by Abigail Leslie Andrews. This final is not a research paper so you must not use any outside sources. If you use unassigned sources, you will get a zero (0) score for that particular question where the outside source is used.
Number each of your answers based on the question you are answering.
Your answers must be typed, double-spaced, 12 pt, Times/New Roman.
Remember to use the MLA Style in-text citations, i.e. (Andrews 26), when you cite or quote from the book and the full citation works cited at the end of the final exam.
Questions
Based on the book Undocumented Politics: Place, Gender and the Pathways of Mexican Migrants, explain and analyze by answering the four questions below, some of the most important aspects of the experiences of undocumented Mexican migrants.
Discuss what led to the migration of women out of Partida and Retorno and how that shaped their experiences in their respective host communities in the United States.
Assess the everyday lives of undocumented migrant women under the different local modes of control (conditional and arbitrary) implemented in L.A. and North County.
Discuss the different ways that migrants from Partida engaged in a “strategy of belonging” to define themselves as people deserving to live in the United States.
Discuss how the Hometown Association model (HTA) was used by migrants from Retorno to exert political influence in their local community.
