Bronx Community College Module 6 HIV AIDS In Botswana Presentation – Description
Read the PPT slides for Module 6 and view all the video links contained within.
CHOOSE: Choose one of the following three infectious diseases: malaria, tuberculosis or HIV/AIDS. After choosing the disease, choose any country in the world (except countries in North America or Europe). You must select a county, not a group of countries or a continent.
RESEARCH: Research your chosen disease and country using legitimate online resources (governmental websites, non-profit agency websites, websites of major relief agencies, scientific websites). Information from sources other than those mentioned will result in reduction in your grade
CREATE: Create a “photo story” about your chosen disease using PPT. Create a 10-slide PPT presentation that will serve as a “visual description” of the disease you have researched within the country that you selected. The slides should be formatted as such:
Slide 1: title slide (title of presentation, your name and course information) (5%)
Slides 2-3: Background information about the disease you chose (what is it?, how does someone develop the condition?, what happens to the person?, what area of the world is most affected?, what treatments are available?, etc…) (20%)
Slides 4-8: Photos, charts, maps, and other visual images that relate in some way to your chosen topic and country. Each image should include a brief written description the image. Images without a written description will not be graded. (60%)
Slide 9: A written summary of your conclusions about the topic (what is being done for prevention?, what can be done?, etc…?)
