BIS 353 Indiana Wesleyan University Stakeholders Discussion – Description
The thought of stakeholders brings several other words to mind. “Servant,” “steward,” “influencer,” and “manager” can all be applied to stakeholders. Our industry is a trait given to us by God. How we use our talents is up to us, since we have the power to choose.
The Bible verses in this section talk about having gifts or talents through grace and being a good steward, a good example to others, and a good planner. A good project manager will take the skills and gifts of stakeholders and use them for positive gains on a project, assuming the project manager exhibits ethical behavior in being a steward of those resources. It makes sense that Peter, Titus, and Luke mention using gifts given through grace, since they received them abundantly through the Holy Spirit (John 20:19–23 and Acts 2:1–4).
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.
1 Peter 4:10
For an overseer, as God’s steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain.
Titus 1:7
For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?
Luke 14:28
