Binghamton University Linguistic Anthropological Theories on Collected Project Data Paper – Description
Final Paper (45% of grade): You are required to write a final paper of no less than 5,000 words and no more than 7,000 words, doubled spaced, with 1 inch margins, and in a reasonably sized font. The final paper should focus on one of the main themes of the course and use some examples of language and identity of your interest as case studies. As case studies for your paper, you can use the materials proposed in the course or some videos from online public sites (such as YouTube, Vimeo, blogs, etc.). In your paper, you need to bring in relevant readings from the class to theoretically and critically contextualize your points and to support your examples. Once you decide upon a topic for your final paper, make sure to discuss it with your instructor and to obtain her approval before you start writing your final essay.
