ARU Fitness Goals Discussion – Description
please respond to James:
Hello everyone,
My name is James Robinson, and I am 36 years old. I grew up in Ohio but moved to California just before my senior year of high school. I used to be very active when I was younger and in school playing sports and working out daily. Nowadays I’m less active, not playing sports as many sports due to work and having a daughter but still try to work out daily. My fitness goal as it stands now is to lose weight that I have gained over the years in my midsection, which has become extremely difficult. I feel the reason is due to not playing sports as much as I used to which allowed me to run much more daily as I do now. To help myself lose some pounds and fix some of the excess weight I have, I have changed my eating patterns to fasting 18/6. What that means is that I have a 6-hour window to eat food while not eating the remaining 18 all I do is drink liquid which is usually just water (I try my hardest to stick to water mainly). Within that meal timeframe, I only eat 1 full meal and have a meal substitute smoothie or shake as my 1st and last meal of the day. I have been fasting off and on for years so my body is my body kind of used to rarely eating. This is why I’m kind of confused about why it’s so hard to lose my belly fat. While in this class, I hope to learn new tips to help me with my weight loss journey, while also finding out what it is that I may be doing wrong to hinder the process. Look forward to hearing about everyone else’s health journey and to getting to hear everyone as well.
