Anxiety and The Stress that Progresses to Depression Discussion Reply – Description

Respond to discussion post  :
Depression can be caused by any life stressor such as a loved one’s death, family history, medication, drug and alcohol use, childhood experiences, etc. I became depressed when my grandma passed away 2 weeks before the start of my 7th grade year in middle school. Depression is usually caused by unhealed trauma, but if you keep a positive outlook and not feed into what depression makes you feel like, then it raises your chances to heal from your trauma and possibly help rid you of depression. I have struggled with it for a long time, but with the help from my husband, not feeding into the sadness, and trying to keep a positive outlook on life I feel happier and less depressed throughout the day. Have you lost someone close to you? If so, how did you react in the weeks after?
