ACC Power Separation and The Proposed Constitution Discussions – Description
(a) Why, in Federalist 47, does Madison maintain the separation of powers is necessary for preventing tyranny?
1. Your own post should not be one long paragraph. Break it into multiple paragraphs. Each paragraph should make one main point.

(a) In his first essay, Brutus argues that the proposed Constitution will result in what he calls a complete consolidation of government powers in the hands of the national government–rather than a partial consolidation in which the general/national government has some but not all lawmaking authority (i.e., rather than the sort of federal regime described by Madison, who claimed the proposed Constitution divided lawmaking authority between the national government and the states). What is his argument in Brutus I for why this will happen?
