A content analysis of the amount of crime coverage in the media (tabloid newspapers) relative to Race/Ethnicity compared to the Official Crime Statistics. Is there an over-representation of crime stories linked to race?
The aim of this content analysis is to assess whether the coverage of crime by ethnicity in tabloid newspapers is proportional to the actual crimes distributed by ethnic group in the official crime statistics (OCS).
