Galatians 3:1: You stupid Galatians! It was at your own door step that Jesus Christ was clearly and perfectly portrayed to you as one that was crucified.Paul uses very strong language when he calls the Galatians ‘foolish Galatians’ and says they were ‘bewitched’. This can be interpreted as Paul being frustrated and disappointed in the Galatians after they abandoned the true Gospel which Paul preached to them.
Earthy Language and Sarcasm:
Galatians 5:12: “And as for these troublemakers, I wish they would cut them off!”.
Paul here is very profane and in-your-face with his descriptions. The latter reveals his growing annoyance with those who want to force the circumcision on the Gentiles and sarcastically wishes those who want circumcision to go as far as castrating themselves as well.
