Project: The final project is a report addressing a scientific questions that interest you with
the statistical methods you learn in this course. You are encouraged to collaborate on this
project (a maximum of 2 students per group).
– Project proposal: you/ your group will submit a brief project proposal (2-pages maxi-
mum) to describe what you want to do in your project. You can use one of the data sets
from the following links: (1) https://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets.php; (2)

A project proposal format will include the following information:
1. Project title
2. Group members
3. Project idea or main problems you plan to address
4. Describe the data set
5. Exploratory data analysis to data set
Final project: you/your group will submit a complete final project (6-pages maximum)
that you complete statistical analysis and report pertaining to particular scientific ques-
tions. Your final report should roughly have the following format:
1. Introduction to the project problems
2. Describe the data set with appropriate descriptive statistics and/or tables, figures
3. Proposed method
4. Results
5. Conclusions and discussions.
