Assume the role of the personnel manager for a company. You have just run an ad in the paper for a management trainee to fill a job. The applicants must have a high school diploma; advanced schooling is desired but not required. You are really having a problem deciding which one to hire and have made the following list to help you decide.
Eric
Five minutes late to interview. Well-dressed, well-groomed. Has high school diploma and two years pr ofessional training. Has worked odd jobs. Answers questions well and completely. Has no problem getting to work.
Alan
On time to interview. Well-dressed but hair long and unkept. Has high school diploma. Has experience at local store, no pay. Wants on-the-job training only.
Very talkative.
Nina
Arrives 10 minutes before interview. Clothing clean but evidence of much wear and tear. Has held part-time job. Has high school diploma, starting post-high school education.
Has no real plans.
