Compare and contrast these two families as you read this story and then write your response here.
Explain what role you think Culture plays in the similarities and differences found in these two families….think back to the theories we discussed earlier. Which family do you think most resembles your family and why? Question 2- A Birthing Plan is helpful to everyone involved with the birth of the baby. For this discussion, create a birthing plan for this family. Everybody needs to have a job here…..what is everybody’s job? Be descriptive! Dad is self-employed and away from home for three days at a time every week. What does he need to do?
Mom is a preschool teacher with a planned pregnancy leave to begin around her 36th week. What does she need to have in place?
They have three children already aged 10 – 7 – and 3. They all need jobs! What can they do?
They have two dogs and one cat in their family also. Who could watch the animals?
This family lives in a house surrounded by neighbors that they know on a first name basis. The hospital is 20 miles away and it is wintertime, so they can expect snow.
