Refresh your understanding of styles of art with the readings given and locate artworks from four local artists from this town that are associated with four historical time periods that might be represented at an art exhibition commemorating the town’s history. Compare and contrast the artworks in terms of historical style and cultural significance. Then create an engaging and informative briefing document that will serve as a resource for your client to distribute at the next city council meeting. Your briefing document will:
· Construct a timeline that highlights artworks of four (4) community-based artists whose work reflects a specific historical style.
· Design the timeline so that it is printable and suitable for distribution to City Council members and attendees. (Tip: Use timeline templates found under the “Insert” tab in Word to create a printable format.)
· Organize the timeline chronologically to show where each artwork fits historically, with the associated art style clearly indicated by a pictorial example.
· Using the information you have listed within the timeline, you will:
· Analyze each artwork in a 2–3 paragraph summary, discussing its historical position and significance.
· Explain the unique qualities of each style, including aspects such as media, subject matter, or other defining features.
· Justify how artworks from these artists would contribute to the upcoming centennial art exhibition at City Hall.
