You will research and write an 8-10 page research paper on South Sudan’s struggle to become a prosperous sovereign country. Be sure to highlight the historic struggle that led to the secession from Sudan and how the world’s newest country is on the verge of a civil war. Note the severity of the humanitarian crisis and displacement of the South Sudanese people. Also include how outside influences (Other States, NGOs, IGOs, NSAs) can either help or hinder South Sudan’s progress. Be sure to highlight a path toward peace and stability in South Sudan. Your introduction should consist of a precise thesis statement (which is essentially a summed-up answer to your research question). Ensure that your paper is organized, focused, and written concisely.
